| We're seeking an experienced 'Production' DBA with strong Oracle experience, also with experience in Sqlserver and MqSql. |
|
| DBA will be responsible for the 24x7 availability of mission critical in production environment. There is a high expectation in availability, performance and scalability to support the tremendous growth of various Internet services provided by the company. Daily activities will include supporting large medium and some small databases, monitoring and space management, reviewing and implementing schema design, fine tuning database and SQL statements. This person will work in a cross-function environment with project managers, engineers, system and network administrators. |

| Candidate will work with a team of DBAs supporting Production, User Acceptance and QA databases. Many of these databases are mission critical to both internal and external clients. The DBA team is responsible for the ongoing maintenance, failure avoidance, detection and repair of these instances. Qualified candidates are expected to use DBA skills to secure production database uptime and availability. This includes ongoing space maintenance, DB tuning, DB debugging, backup and recovery, configuration maintenance and deployment of application code. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of Oracle DBA experience and be comfortable in both self-managed and team driven tasks. This includes being part of a 24x7 on-call pager rotation. |

| Candidate Must Have: |

|
 |
In depth knowledge of Oracle 9i/10g Server administration |
|
Experience using Oracle Standby, High Availability, Snapshoot technologies, |
| |
partitioning, RMAN, OEM |
|
Proven ability to install and configure new database releases, management of |
| |
database tables - sizing, expansion, and protection. |
|
Ability to diagnose and correct problems such as but not limited to: errors caused by |
| |
program faults, system resource limitations and database configuration settings. |
|
Strong Performance tuning skills. |
|
Production Support experience supporting a 24x7 Global operation |
|
Good skills in automation (shell scripting) and documentation |
|
Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment |
|
Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team member |
